A Palm Island Visitor’s Guide
Accommodations are privately owned by individuals, not the resort, and the common areas for those accommodations are owned by property owners associations. As a result, compliance with ADA regulations such as wheelchair ramps, elevators, and ADA accessible rooms are exclusively up to the owners/associations and are beyond our control.
Should you or a member of your party need assistance accessing any location at Palm Island Resort, please call our reception desk at 941-697-4800 from 7:30am to 8:00pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 7:30am to 10:00pm Friday and Saturday. We will make every attempt to

We maintain a list of people who are available to perform babysitting services for our guests. Please call the Concierge fro more information and arrangements. Sitters are limited so please schedule as far in advance as possible.

All villa rates are packaged to include transport between the mainland and the island via Palm Island Transit Company.
The hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm, Friday from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm, and Saturday 6:30 am to 12:00 am.
Discounted Ferry Passes may be purchased at the Reception Center for visiting friends and family, by prior arrangement.

Heat and air conditioning are individually controlled. You may set the thermostat for your comfort but we ask that you be ever-mindful of energy conservation efforts.
Upon departing, please turn off lights and heating or air conditioning. Please return all keys to the Reception Center. If you would like to extend your reservations, please contact the Reception Center. Late check-outs may be possible by prior arrangement.
Children’s playgrounds are located across from Building 20 near the Reception Center and near the pool by the Tennis Center.

Dockage may be reserved for boats up to 28 feet. These slips are available for villa guests with a boat. No overnights aboard. Slips have a 3 ft. depth and are located on the Island. To reserve a slip, call: (941) 697-4800

Located at the Reception Center. The per page charge is $1.00 for incoming and $2.00 for outgoing.
Bikes, Treadmills, 4-Stack weight station groups, weight bench and dumb bells, elliptical trotter and recumbent bike. Fitness classes, water aerobics, and personal training available. Call the Concierge to obtain keys for the fitness center or to inquire further about classes! (941)697-4800

Most, but not all villas have internet connections available.
Wi-Fi is available at Coconuts and all three pool areas for those that need connection to the outside world.
Boarding passes can be printed for you at the Reception Center, please stop by for further information.
If you would like transport between your villa, parking lot or Rum Bay Restaurant, call the Reception Center and they will dispatch a bellman to assist you.
Paper machines are located at the bell stand next to reception and offer a choice of local and national newspapers. Papers are also available to customers of Coconut Café during the morning coffee hours

Parking is located to the south of the Resort entrance. Please ensure to affix your parking pass to your rear view mirror and park you vehicle ONLY in the areas designated for guest parking. A member of our bell staff is available to assist you with transporting baggage to your villa.

All of your recreational needs and rental equipment may be arranged through our Coconuts Café and Recreation Centre.
Coconuts also has to offer for rent golf carts, bicycles of all sizes, umbrellas and much more.
Picnic baskets can be purchased to use with all your purchases and items for your needs.
Join us for daily lunch and dinner in a casual island setting. Exciting, fun food is offered at reasonable pricing. Specialties include our signature Baby Back Ribs with its own Swamp Sauce and fresh seafood. Try one of our island concoctions or non-alcoholic tropical drinks from the bar. We will also deliver freshly made pizza to your villa.

Our island store sells a variety of gift items and casual resort wear. Be sure to stop by to bring home a memory of Palm Island.
Be sure to stop in and ask about our SAND DUNE Jewelry which is made from Palm Island sand.
We also carry many toiletries, Band-Aids, aspirin and more.
All of the phones in the villas are private lines maintained by that villa owner. Inbound and outbound calls do not go through a central switchboard. For your convenience, each owner in the rental program has taken advantage of a package plan that includes all domestic long distance calling and most international calling. Therefore telephone service is complimentary and packaged into your villa rental rate. Management reserves the right to charge you for accepting any collect calls PLUS a billing surcharge.

Our tennis professional is available to handle all of your tennis needs. Whether its sharpening your game with a clinic or private lesson or just looking for a partner, he can handle your request. Racquets and ball hoppers are available for rent.
Trash bags may be placed on the raccoon-proof containers located under your building. Call Housekeeping if you need additional plastic trash bags.
Operated during lunch and dinner and by special arrangement at any time. Pick-up at Rum Bay’s dock and drop-off is from the water at Leverock’s Restaurant on the mainland.
